Opening Ceremony
included Pete wandering around the field playing us the olympic soundtrack.
As you can see by the many happy faces, it was a much anticipated event.

Our first event was
cycling
Competitors raced (that term is used loosely here) down the track on their wheels of choice.
As they made their way down the track they were cheered on by family members.
Our competitors were greeted by hugs and cheers as the crossed the finish line.
In this event their may or may not have been some cheating involved.

Do they get any cuter than this?
Tristen thought it looked like so much fun that he took this cycle out for a spin.
Our next event was the
4 X 400 relay race.
Fans watched as the competitors prepared for the race.

Such focus and determination!
After the race we moved to the
shot - put event
That ball is much heavier than it looks!
Our last venue at the PG school field was the
long jump
While the contestants prepared for the event.
Family gathered around to enjoy the competition.
Some even took this break as a chance to warm up
for their events.
but soon the long jump was under way

We then moved to the Rockwell Pavilion
to enjoy some lunch,
and some sleep,
good company,
and some wholesome "I can do it better than you can" competitions.
The next event of the day was
basketball
While we were here we decided to take some family photos
Jack ALWAYS enjoys his time with these two lovely ladies
Ashton practiced her cheetah run
and these two boys had some more lunch
next on the olympic events docket was
swimming
First up were the women swimmers.
It was a photo finish!
Next up were the men.
Check out what all of the little girls think of Nick's attire.
Again it was a close race!
But Nick Took the win on this round.
The final match was held between the men and women.
While it was a close race John took the lead and won.
After the race our speedo friends posed for a picture.
Check out the muscles on these guys!!
Thank you speedo brothers for providing us with lots of laughs.
After the swimming competition we headed over to All American Gym
where we enjoyed the next event.

It was nice to still see smiling faces through each of the matches.
the last event of the day was
gymnastics
It was a fierce competition
mixed with some pretty creative moves!!
Everyone seemed to enjoy the event!
The
Closing Ceremony
was filled with shouts of joy,
songs of praise and lots and lots of smiles!!!

The Pratt Family Olympics was a HUGE success!!
Once the games were over, the partying began!
